And doubly so this year. Spring means the pleasures of summer are just around the corner. And this year it appears that a return to a "new normal" aer over a year of pandemic restrictions is also clearly in sight. At the WAC, we can hardly wait. With any luck there will be no more starting and stopping of Club activities, our fitness areas and restaurants will be filling up, and our downtown neighborhood will be showing increasing signs of vitality. is edition of WAC Magazine reflects this moment of great transition. Appropriately, there is a retrospective highlighting member experiences during COVID. ere is a lot to learn from our own members about living through a pandemic. Also, Chef Eric presents tips on barbecue. Who doesn't enjoy a warm-weather outdoor meal and the smell of food cooking on the grill? Chef can help all of us upgrade our game. How about golf? I'm not one of those many Seattleites who enjoys sloshing through the mud and rain to get my rounds in, but when the weather improves, I'm all over it. Read about the WAC Golf Club as it gears up for another season of fun. If you're interested in working on your game, playing a variety of courses, and meeting new people, the Golf Club is the place for you. Our annual Friends & Family membership drive is arriving a few months late for obvious reasons. We have had notable success in retaining our members through the past year, for which we are very thankful. I expect there will be a great backlog of demand for the socialization and activities for which the WAC is so famous. Share the joy of WAC membership with your friends and business associates—just turn the page for all the details. All in all, a good read. I really do hope to see you at the Club soon!
