Full-speed ahead
Ah, spring … teases of warmth and blue sky peppered with the occasional dramatic
cloudburst. A time of anticipation and transition and knowing there are better days ahead,
very metaphorical for these days of our lives. is issue of WAC Magazine loads you up
with seasonal opportunities to look forward to as well as a COVID-era retrospective that is
hopefully staying in the rearview mirror.
Your club is certainly full-speed ahead in planning and executing lessons learned from the recent past and building an even
better WAC. e Washington Athletic Club is proud to be Seattle's club, a member-governed nonprofit institution dedicated to
serving this ever-changing city since 1930—through good times and bad, booms and busts, recessions and growth spurts, and,
yes, a global pandemic.
e WAC has thrived for 90 years because it constantly evolves, improves, and stays true to its mission of enriching the lives
of the members. e Club's contributions continue because it is authentic Seattle—not a chain, not for profit—dedicated only to
reinventing, reinvesting, and serving the Puget Sound region.
ank you for being part of the WAC story. ere are so many more chapters to come and, regardless of the plot twists, you
are in it with thousands of others, committed to many wonderful adventures, a tale that moves along, an original Seattle story.
See you soon!
