"Our cellar covers the world, and our mem- bers are constantly impressed at the selection they find in WAC restaurants." e WAC's expansive collection includes pioneering Washington state producers as well as vintages from distinct regions around North America, South America, Australia, South Africa, and Europe. You'll even find a selection from Asia—Lebanon to be precise. In addition, the WAC cherishes its collection of hard-to-find verticals, which have been known to highlight special tasting events. In a typical year, hundreds of clubs around the world submit their wine lists and wine programming details for The WAC's annual colle- giate boxing invitational review by an expert panel assembled by the CMAA International Wine Society. Typically, fewer than 10 clubs earn the Award of Distinction, the organization's top honor. "Not a week goes by where we're not curating our list," Peter says. "It's a labor of love." Luckily for WAC members, all you need to go is raise a glass and enjoy! The Main Event will most likely not take place in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Plans are already in the works for the event's return in 2022.
