Washington Athletic Club - Dedicated 1930 - Mission To enrich the quality of life of our members Vision To be the premier city athletic club in America Values Leadership, Excellence, Integrity, Service, and Sensitivity Let's appreciate the adventure Life can take us on all kinds of adventures … the happy and the sad, the friends and the foes, the strong and deep emotions of the most joyous and fulfilling times of your life and the weighted agony of the most difficult. It's amazing the range of things we experience and feel as we roll through youth and middle age and through the "back nine" of life. When does that start? When does it end? How do we know until we know? e unknown destination is what makes it so important to stress that the journey is the main thing, that the wonder and mystery is the only thing we can expect with certainty and, therefore, the only thing we can embrace. So give a bear hug to the highs and the lows and our humanness and appreciate the adventure. Each issue of WAC Magazine is designed to entertain and inform. In this edition, you'll find a range of topics, from how to stay active in those twilight years to how to keep your children busy during the upcoming spring break and summer vacation. is issue also recounts the history of one of this month's featured wineries at our annual Taste Washington Winemaker Dinner and looks ahead to warmer days and dry fairways. Yes, golf season is coming right up! Also, make sure to read our feature story on some of the WAC members in the music industry. e talent and experience of WAC members never cease to amaze me. e WAC has exciting and educational events for all ages, interests, and phases of life—all designed to help you live your best and longest life and create your fullest and best adventure! @cnhuskies13 Chuck Nelson President & CEO cnelson@wac.net
