More than three dozen boxers from twelve schools across the nation converged
on the WAC for The Main Event. Nearly 300 spectators packed the 8th Floor gym
each night, with members and their guests dressed to the nines for this formal
affair, one of the premier college fight nights in the country. Washington State
University's Anwar Nassar and San Jose State's Paul Hoang were awarded
The Ed Weichers Most Outstanding Boxer Awards. Preceded by dinner and
a comedy show in the Crystal Ballroom and followed by an after-party in
Hagerty's, The Main Event was once again a smashing success.
