All skills are performed with a teacher. Preschool 2: Develop comfort in the water. Learn breath control and swimming on front and back with assistance. Preschool 3: Swimming three yards on front and back. Good breath control. Establishing foundations for crawl stroke and elementary backstroke. Preschool 4: Swimming seven yards on front and back. Comfort in deep water. Technical foundations for breast stroke, crawl stroke, and elementary backstroke. Youth (Ages 6+) Lessons for Levels 1–3 are 30 minutes. Lessons for Levels 4–6 are 40 minutes. Level 1: Beginners or those learning comfort in the water. Learn breath control and how to swim on front and back. Level 2: Swimming five yards on front and back. Good breath control. Establishing foundations for crawl stroke and elemen- tary backstroke. Level 3: Swimming 10 yards crawl stroke. Comfort in deep water. Technical foundations for breast stroke, crawl stroke, and elementary backstroke. Level 4: Swimming 13 yards crawl stroke with side breathing. Endurance to swim the length of the pool on front and back. Developing technique for butterfly and backstroke. Level 5: Swimming all four race strokes (crawl stroke, back- stroke, breast stroke, and butterfly) 13–25 yards, refining coor- dination. Fundamental understanding of stroke mechanics. Level 6: Swimming all four race strokes (crawl stroke, back- stroke, breast stroke, and butterfly) 25–50 yards with refined technique. Developed understanding of stroke mechanics, turns, and dives. Foundations Approaching Swim Team (FAST): Focuses on building endurance, refining the four primary strokes, and introducing starts and turns. Private Swim Lessons Available to members of all ages and abilities. Participants will be matched with the best available instructor for their needs. Sign-ups ongoing. Junior Programs Dance Basics Instructor Osiris Reynoso-Lotts teaches participants the foundational skills of ballet and tap dance in a fun, musical environment. No previous experience required. Please wear leotards, tights and ballet shoes (or another soft shoe with a nonmarking sole). u Thursdays, April 12–May 31: 4–5 pm; $135 Family Judo Learn traditions, discipline, and respect as you train in a martial art that emphasizes throws and grappling. u Wednesdays: 6:30–8:30 pm; Saturdays: 9:30–11:30 am; ages 7-plus (younger with instructor approval); $60/month. Parents welcome (adults $8 per class, $6 with enrolled child, or free with Fitness Advantage). Studio B (4th Floor). Watts Basketball Learn basketball from Husky legend and former profession- al basketball player Donald Watts. Players of all levels are welcome to come learn the basics or fine-tune their basket- ball skills in a fun environment.
