We have plenty of exciting activities planned for junior members of all ages. WeeWACs has weeklong day camps where your little ones can picnic in the park, explore the city, study science, and more. Junior members ages 6–12 can par- ticipate in three four-day camps— Adventureland, All About Sports, and Be Creative—filled with excitement and over-the-top fun. ose camps will take place Monday–ursday, June 25–28, July 16–19, and August 6–9. Mason Sizemore Former WAC Chairman and longtime member H. Mason Sizemore passed away on December 31, 2017, at the age of 76. Mason served as WAC Chairman from 2001–2002 and was the former president of e Seattle Times Company. "He is sorely missed by all of us that knew him," says Phyllis Campbell, who served as WAC Chairman from 2002–2003 and as Chairman Elect under Mason. "Mason exemplified the values of the WAC and was a kind gentleman who always put others' needs first. He will be remembered for his extraordinary leadership and generosity." Mason passed away during a trip to Arizona to watch the University of Washing- ton football team play in the Fiesta Bowl. He was born in a small Virginia town in April of 1941, graduated from the Col- lege of William and Mary, and worked toward a master's degree in journalism at the University of Missouri. He started at e Seattle Times as a copy editor and rose to become company president before retiring in 2001. He joined the WAC in 1978 and earned an MBA from the University of Washington in 1985. He is survived by Connie, his wife of 54 years, as well as daughters Jennifer Size- more and Jill Mansfield, granddaughter Leah Mansfield, and two brothers. "He was a fine man, and I loved him very much," Connie says. e couple held their 50th wedding anniversary party at the WAC. "Mason told several people that he wanted a big party at the WAC when he passed," Connie says. at party is being planned for later this year. Relatives and friends from Texas, South Carolina, Kansas, Virginia, Missouri and Washington are planning to attend. Goodbye, Mason.
