As 5th Floor supervisor, he opens Men's Fitness in the morning and sets the tone for the day. "His consistently warm, welcoming style is constantly being talked about by members, and he's had a tre- mendous positive impact on other team members," says Wayne Milner, Senior Vice President Athletics, Special Projects & Community Partners. "Terrance is one of the nicest, most accommodating, and hardworking individuals I've ever met," says WAC member Blake Harris. "I appre- ciate the way he goes above and beyond the call of duty to support and service the members." BEN STANTON MEN'S FITNESS MANAGER Ben Stanton oversees Men's Fitness and the men's locker room. He started at the WAC in 2012 as a banquet houseman and became banquet supervisor before moving into his current position. He has since "improved every facet of those operations," says Wayne Milner, Senior Vice President Athletics, Special Projects & Community Partners. Maureen Eggers, Women's & Coed Fitness Manager, is impressed by Ben's selfless leadership. "He works alongside his staff, participat- ing fully in efforts as needed and is not afraid to do the 'hard part' of the task," she says. "Ben is trustworthy and reliable 100 percent of the time." ANGIE ROPER SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST Nearly every WAC team member has gone to Angie Roper for assistance. Personal Trainer Mona Caravetta recently needed orthopedic surgery and turned to Angie for help navigating insurance and benefits details. "Angie answered all my questions and made it so I could focus on my recovery and return to work," Mona says. Angie is responsible for ben- efits and the employee wellness program and also chairs the WAC safety commit- tee. "Patience, empathy and kindness are keys to success in her position," says her close co-worker, WAC Security Manager and Human Resources Generalist Laurie Sorensen. "They are also strong traits of Angie's." AMANDA BRYNN DIRECTOR MEMBER SERVICES Amanda Brynn made an immediate im- pact on the Member Services department when she arrived in December 2015. Her energy and ideas have helped take mem- ber service to a new level. Perhaps most noticeably, the addition of a lobby location has helped members get quick answers with added convenience. "She has taken a complex plan to improve the accessibil- ity of Member Services and has brought it to life with tenacity," Vice President Membership & Marketing Michelle Pinson says. Amanda has also worked closely with the Marketing team to help improve website efficiency. "She's always looking for ways to grow the Club and increase member satisfaction," says Managing Editor Darrick Meneken. NOVEMBER 2017 FALL 2017 DECEMBER 2017 WINTER 2018
