MONTH / MONTH 2018 39 A love story... continued Julia and Greg Majovski's love story opened a new chapter in the very same place it began—the Washington Athletic Club. is past summer, Julia and Greg wed in the Noble Room, just a floor below Torchy's, site of one of their earliest dates. "Greg took me to Torchy's for drinks and crab bisque right when we first started seeing each other," Julia recalls. "He was trying to impress me — he definitely succeeded." One whirlwind romance and a summertime Cannon Beach proposal later, Julia and Greg said "I do" in the com- pany of friends, family, and their yellow lab just a few steps away from that early date. For Greg, it felt like home. A member of the WAC since childhood, he learned to play handball from his dad at the Club and grew up attending holiday events with his family here. e familial feeling carried through every aspect of Julia and Greg's wedding weekend—from a morning of photos and food on the picturesque Elliott Bay Suite balcony to a night of dancing in the Crystal Ballroom.
