2 | Washington Athletic Club Magazine | SPRING 2016 Board of Governors Nominations, 2016–2019 Nominations are listed below with service history on WAC committees. Election takes place in May. You may nominate other qualified candidates on the form provided in your April billing statement. If 5 percent or more of the current WAC membership nominates one or more additional WAC members, then an election will be held and the candidates receiving the most votes will fill the available positions. If no additional qualified nominations come from the membership, the initial slate of nominees shall be declared elected at the May meeting of the Board of Governors. e Washington Athletic Club Nominating Committee, Executive Committee, and Board of Governors are proud to present four nominees for the Resident Board of Governors: Dail Bodziony Senior Vice President, Columbia Bank WAC member since 2007 Finance 2012–2015 Membership & Marketing 2015–2018 Human Resource 2015–2018 Duane King Consultant, Alliant WAC member since 2006 Membership & Marketing 2007–2010 Athletics 2012–2013 Jeff Lounsberry Vice President, MWL Advisory WAC member since 2008 Program Board 2010–2013 Finance 2013–2016 Courtney Meyer Chief Development Officer, Northwest Mutual WAC member since 2008 Program Board 2011–2016 (Chair 2014–2015) All actions and procedures are in accordance with WAC Bylaws, which have been designed to assure the WAC of optimum representation by members who have the time and qualifications to best represent the WAC membership. ese board positions are for a three-year term from August 1, 2016, through July 31, 2019. We refuse to wait any longer. We're planning summer starting now! After the wettest winter in Seattle-area history, we deserve to think of golden days and long warm evenings. With a bounty of outings and programs on tap for adults and kids alike, the Club is giving members plenty to look forward to this summer. Think picnics and beaches and boats … golf courses and glassblowing and the great outdoors … dockside concerts and open-air yoga and group outings galore. It's summer in the Northwest, and there's nothing else like it. This special issue of WAC Magazine will give you everything you need to plan your summer with the WAC and maximize our region's most glorious time of year. Memories await, and the WAC has a season of adventure and relaxation on tap for members of all ages. Just like midday by the lake, it's time to jump in! Jumping into summer Chuck Nelson, President & Chief Executive Officer Can you feel the days getting longer? I can, and it's just the encouragement I need to start planning summer adventures. WAC member leaders, together with Club team members, are carefully curating a menu of summer fun. I welcome you to take a tour through this special edition to see what's in store. There are dozens of activities planned, from new food and beverage offerings to triathlon training to summer-long reciprocal privileges on Lake Union. My fingers are crossed for another long beautiful Seattle summer. Thanks go to the many member leaders who help ensure we're delivering an exceptional experience by engaging on our committees, the Program Board, and the Board of Governors.
