Book Club: "Horse" DECEMBER 8 Based on the true story of the record-breaking 19th-century racehorse Lexington, "Horse" masterfully weaves together three narratives. The story follows a powerful bond between an enslaved groom and a prized racehorse in the 1850s. This bond echoes through time as an art historian and a scientist uncover the horse's skeleton and a mysterious painting in present day. It's a gripping tale of love, obsession, and our unfinished reckoning with racism.
