Guided tastings, hands-on exercises, and expert insights teach wine lovers of all levels how to identify aromas, flavors, and varietal characteristics with confidence. Build your tasting vocabulary and deepen wine appreciation. No prior knowledge required, just curiosity and a passion for the pour! Monday; 5:30–7:30 pm. Wines of Spain and Portugal MARCH 18 Experience the rich wine culture of Spain and Portugal, from hearty café wines to modern fine wines and historic fortified styles. This night takes you on a journey through the Iberian Peninsula's principal expressions, bringing the Mediterranean sun to your glass and your plate. Wednesday; 5:30–7:30 pm. Open-Play Chess JANUARY 27 Sharpen your chess skills or learn the basics. Join WAC member and chess champion Hayley LeGault for a fun evening of chess at the Club. Hayley loves to share her passion for the game and creates a welcoming space for everyone to learn and play. All skill levels and ages welcome. Chess sets provided. Tuesday; 5:30–7:30 pm; complimentary. Game Night: Euchre JANUARY 27 Join us for our monthly game night! On the last Tuesday of every month, we'll get together to enjoy some friendly competition. We'll be rotating between different games each month to keep things fresh, from euchre and mahjong to classic board games and everything in between. This month we'll be playing euchre—a fast-paced and social card game. Played in two-person teams, euchre is all about strategy, communication, and a little bit of luck. Tuesday; 5:30–7:30 pm; complimentary. Artist Reception with JW Harrington JANUARY 27 Stepping into the world of JW Harrington's art is an invitation to a deeply personal conversation. As a painter and Professor Emeritus of Urban Studies, Harrington brings a unique blend of intellect and intuition to his canvases, exploring the complexities of identity, memory, and the human experience. From vibrant geometric abstractions to moving portraits of people, his work consistently challenges the viewer to look beyond the surface and find their own meaning.
