What equipment will you need? Planning the when, where, and what will help take out the unwanted guesswork. Focus on maintenance rather than progression For most people, it isn't realistic to expect personal bests or increased progression during the holidays. Adjusting your focus will help you maintain your progress without being too hard on yourself for a few holiday cheats. Take your trainer with you (virtually!) If you're already meeting regularly with a personal trainer, schedule a virtual session. This will provide a break from the holiday hustle and a key check-in point that can help keep you focused. Having a training session on the books can deliver the extra accountability you need. If you're not training yet, consider starting, or commit to attending a few WAC virtual fitness classes. Get creative Your favorite equipment might not always be available. Get creative and try a body-weight workout! Not only does getting creative allow for more versatility, but two full-body strength workouts a week will also help prevent muscle atrophy. Fitness Tips Staying on track with your health and fitness goals during the holiday season can be challenging. WAC Personal Trainer Mona Caravetta shares her go-to tips for keeping up while still enjoying the holiday season.
