Stop at ten artisanal vendors, learn about local production, and taste your way through the flavors of the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy Beecher's world-famous mac and cheese, try Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt, scope out a secret garden, skip the line at Pike Place Chowder, and sample alderwood-smoked salmon. We'll also hear small business stories about Chukar Cherries and bean- to-bar chocolate production, as well as get the scoop on where Seattle's top chefs purchase their produce, meat, and seafood. Our guide will share tips on how to take advantage of what Pike Place Market has to offer. u Thursday & Saturday; 10 am–12 pm; $58; cancel by September 1. 15 Explore & Learn: Spice Bridge Spice Bridge is home to the Food Businesses Incubator Program, which helps South King County women of color and immigrants start and grow thriving businesses. The 2,800-square-foot facility helps low-income families gain economic security and aids in building food security in the community. Travel to Tukwila to experience foods from around the world and learn more about the Food Business Incubator Program. u Wednesday; 5:30–7:30 pm; cancel by September 7. 25 WAC Homecoming Dance We're hosting a high school- style dance sans the intruding chaperones. Don't miss out on this adults-only event! Bust a move to 1990s and 2000s throwback jams before the clock strikes midnight. The 8th Floor gym will be filled with tunes, libations, all the amusement you can handle, and maybe even a Homecoming King and Queen. OCTOBER 01 Oktoberfest at the WAC Celebrate this time-honored German tradition with beer and maybe a soft pretzel or two. Art historian Rebecca Albiani returns to the WAC to guide us through the Clubhouse's remarkable art collection.
