At the WAC, we're embracing the shi. During the pandem- ic, you likely noticed more e-newsletters and online updates. Now, we're making it even easier to stay plugged into the Club. Our first-ever WAC app should be avail- able this fall in the Apple and Android app stores. Download the app on your smart- phone. Features include a mobile mem- bership card, making Clubhouse entry easier than ever. You'll also enjoy Club news and notifications, schedules, reser- vations, and much more. e WAC team worked with mem- ber-owned business CompuSight to devel- op and build the app. "We are excited to community and light all around us," says Rose Mitchell, who served as WAC Chairwoman during the pandemic. As a senior clinical data management associate at Gilead Sciences, which released a drug treatment for COVID-19, Rose had an inside perspective on the pandemic. At home, members found all sorts of ways to adjust to the lockdown. e WAC Wire blog featured some of their stories—from heading for the hills to going all-in on stay-at-home following a new set of twins! ose stories are archived on the WAC Wire Blog at wac.net/home-life. e WAC's phased reopening began in early June and was continuing as of press time. "I have no doubt in the level of care and detail the WAC puts into creating a clean and safe environment," Rose says. "We are all doing our best and should be flexible and compassionate." A member-driven fund collected donations to help team members through the closure. e Team Member Relief Fund (wac.net/relief-fund) stands as a legacy to the connection, community and care between WAC members and the team mem- bers who serve them. "We have so many people here who love the WAC—members and team mem- bers," Chuck says. "We are committed to keeping it great, fighting the good fight, and coming out of this better than ever." take the next step as we grow our digital experience for the membership," WAC President & CEO Chuck Nelson says. "e app will provide a simple, handy way to access timely information relevant to your personal WAC life." As of press time, the app was in the approval and testing phase and scheduled to appear in app stores soon. To access the app's full features, you must sign in using your wac.net credentials. From there, you can view a tutorial and start tapping Club benefits in the palm of your hand.
