Members make a difference - Meet two of the Club's biggest supporters Member profiles Teamworks Investment insights Ask Member Services Club Life Members make a difference Meet two of the Club's biggest supporters Chelsey Nelson Ballard native Chelsey Nelson joined the WAC aer being asked to play on the Club's coed competitive soccer team. As no stranger to the WAC—she had attended Jubilee as her sister's guest—Chelsey jumped at the opportunity. She continues to play on the soccer team and is currently volunteering on the 20s/30s Committee for the second year in a row. Chelsey builds social media campaigns for T-Mobile's corporate communications department and runs the wine blog Wino on a Budget, where she reviews bottles that sell for $25 and under. "I don't approach people about joining the Club," she says. "ey always approach me. It's easy to show the value of the WAC by just showing them all the social opportunities, fun events, and clubs within the Club. I've made so many new friends here." Elisa Sheng WAC member Elisa Sheng joined the Club in 2016 for its convenient location and extensive swim program. A health and wellness research scientist for Arivale, Elisa knows the importance of physical fitness. at's why she swims at the WAC almost every day. She also enjoys dryland workouts and compet- ing in U.S. Masters swim meets. Last year, WAC Swim Coach Emily Silver accompanied Elisa to BAMfest, a yearly meet on Bainbridge Island. "Even though I was the only WAC swimmer who competed, Emily coached me through every single event," Elisa says. "She even invited her family to come out and cheer me on. at was surreal." Elisa also attends WAC boxing classes and occasionally works remotely from the Club.
