Taylor Shellfish Farms
at Melrose Market
September 19
It was a "shellfishfest" for the ages
for lovers of oysters, mussels, crab,
geoduck, chowder, and oyster stew
during our trip to Melrose Market—
all accompanied by award-winning
"Oyster Wines" and artisan beer. Taylor
Shellfish Farms' boutique shop on
Capitol Hill provided the perfect setting
to mix, mingle and indulge as platters
of oyster varietals were shucked and
served along with a mélange of other
delicacies from the deep (and shallow).

at Seattle Glassblowing
September 21
It was another fun and hot time at
Seattle Glassblowing Studio as an
excellent glassblowing team assisted
members in making glass pumpkins,
gourds, bowls, weights and more. The
unique hands-on experience is so
rewarding that returning blowers and
novices alike declared they're already
ready to sign up next year.
