More than 4,000 athletes and coaches from around the country will compete along with the support of tens of thousands of volunteers and spectators. Soccer Players Wanted The WAC is looking for wom- en and men soccer players for an intermediate skill-level league in Seattle. Games will start in spring and take place on Monday nights. WAC Golf Instructor Gilbert Quitlong is offering eight private half- hour lessons and a $50 range card for just $350. The pack- age must be used by March 1. Xcelerate: Snow Flurry November–December The most important tune-up of the season isn't to your skis. Get in shape for the slopes with high-intensity exercises designed for skiers and snowboarders. From November 1–20, draw a number before your swim workouts and complete the corresponding number of laps. The top five members will win a Thanksgiving turkey compliments of the WAC. Registration is free. Sign up with a lifeguard on the pool deck. Ballet Basics November 1–December 13 Pirouette and plié in a fun musical environment. Youth ballet instructor Osiris Reyno- so-Lotts teaches participants foundational ballet skills in this six-week series. No previous experience required. For junior members ages three to five.
