She immediately became involved in the WAC's Wine Club. at hobby led to her to Court of Master Sommeliers Level 1 and Wine Scholar Guild (formerly French Wine Society) designations. In addition to enjoying food and drink at the Club—Torchy's is one of her favorite lunch spots—Liz uses the WAC for work events three to four times a week. "e WAC staff jokes that they think I have an office at the Club," Liz says. "It's fun to know everyone and be called by name at my events—it makes me feel like I'm at home." Contact membershipinfo@wac.net to learn more. Jason Hamilton Renton native Jason Hamilton joined the WAC in 2002 but was familiar with the Club long before. "e Washington Athletic Club is an institution in our city," Jason says. "ere's absolutely no parallel when it comes to the total offering that the WAC provides." When he began working as a consultant at Richmond Public Relations, Jason received a Club mem- bership and hasn't looked back since. A frequent player on the squash courts, he loves to work out at the Club and to network and conduct business in the WAC Café and Johnson Lobby Lounge. "e WAC is my refuge, my gym, my living room, restaurant, and meeting space," he says.
