Holiday Harpist DECEMBER 12–14, 19–21 Step into the WAC and be serenaded by the sounds of the holidays from our holiday harpist, Tamara Dobranic, who will be playing in the lobby. Thursdays–Saturdays; 11:30 am–1:30 pm. Santa Photos DECEMBER 14 & 15 Saint Nick is stopping by the Club for a precious photo opp! Your little ones can sit with Santa for a special picture that will bring memories of holiday magic for years to come. Reserve your spot in advance to skip the lines and get straight to Santa. A stress-free holiday moment in the making. Saturday & Sunday; 10 am–2 pm; pricing varies. Jingle Bell Brunch DECEMBER 14 & 15 Meeting Mr. and Mrs. Claus between seeing The Nutcracker and experiencing a magic show can get tiring! Join us for Jingle Bell Brunch in Torchy's to refuel during this busy weekend at the WAC. Favorites like scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and seasonal treats ward away any non-magical moments and make the holiday spirit sparkle. Bring the family by for a bite as you enjoy festive family experiences at the Club. Saturday; 9 am–1 pm; Sunday; 9 am–12 pm; see WAC app for pricing. Children's Holiday Show: Le Petit Nutcracker DECEMBER 14 Haven Dance Academy twirls to life in Le Petit Nutcracker with their performance in the Crystal Ballroom. This abbreviated version of the enchanting show includes all the best bits of the 206.464.3060 • clubprograms@wac.net • wac.net/club-events LE PETIT NUTCRACKER | DECEMBER 14 contributions have benefitted Seattle youth who seek help through Threads of Change and YMCA services. The power of community to uplift local initiatives is undeniable, and the WAC Way invites all members to support the cause. Thank you for your continued commitment to enriching Seattle's community through thoughtful giving and engagement. Seattle International Comedy Competition NOVEMBER 26 This long-standing comedy show returns to the WAC for Night 1 of finals week. The competition has been whittled down from 32 comedians to just the top five, who will perform 20 minutes of their best material. Laugh, cry, and maybe cringe at this show in the Crystal Ballroom. You could see the early days of a big name on stage. Tuesday; 7 pm dinner, 8 pm show. $54 show only; $94 dinner, show, and parking; $520 dinner, show, and parking for group of six. DECEMBER Hangover Brunch: The Morning After Jubilee DECEMBER 7 Partied a little too hard? That's ok—Hangover Brunch is here for you post- Jubilee. Refuel with a breakfast buffet of classic morning favorites as well as beverage options like mimosas and Bloody Marys. There will also be plenty of electrolyte drinks, water, juice, and, of course, coffee. We're even offering IV infusions from certified nurse Dayna Morgan for those in need of some extra oomph. Saturday; 8:30–11:30 am; $75 members/$90 guests. Book Club DECEMBER 9 "The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store" by James McBride unravels the story of a Pottstown, Pennsylvania, neighborhood that's home to a mix of Black Americans and European immigrants. This historical fiction bestseller is a tale of love, community, and shared struggle. Monday; 5–6:30 pm; complimentary. 20s/30s Ugly Sweater Holiday Mixer DECEMBER 10 'Tis the season to be tacky! Get ready to jingle all the way to the most hideously festive party of the year—the 20s/30s Ugly Holiday Sweater Mixer! Dust off those garish gems, raid Grandma's closet, or hit the thrift store because the uglier, the better! Show off your duds to fellow 20s/30s members over a holiday cocktail in Torchy's Bar. Tuesday; 7–8:30 pm; complimentary/no host.
