GingerMania For Adults NOVEMBER 17 Feel like a kid in a candy shop minus any antics when you attend adults-only GingerMania. We reserved the East Room of the Crystal Ballroom for guests who are 21-plus and want to decorate their very own gingerbread house as they sip on champagne. Your gingerbread house comes assembled—all you have to do is decorate. Two people per house. Sunday; 1–3 pm; $70/house, $35/ each additional person. Craft & Cuisine: Pizza & Beer NOVEMBER 19 Join us for an exclusive WAC series that combines the artistry of craft beer with gourmet food pairings. Holiday Wreath-Making NOVEMBER 20 We're breaking out the boughs for this botanical event. Learn how to build your own beautiful wreath using fresh greenery and ribbons. Wednesday, 6:30– 8:30 pm; $140/members/$168 guests. 50s-Plus Socials NOVEMBER 19 & DECEMBER 17 Meet members in the 50s-plus demographic with evening socials in Torchy's Bar. Expand your network, grow your social circle, and reconnect with familiar faces. December's event is a special ugly sweater social, so break out your best and cheesiest holiday gear. The more bells, the better! Tuesdays; 5:30–7 pm; complimentary/no host. Cocktail Club: Japanese Whisky NOVEMBER 21 Scottish spirit- making traditions inspired the earliest iterations of Japanese whisky in the 1920s. Over the last 100 years, distillers in Japan have taken those traditions and developed their own unique spirits. Taste this century of innovation at November's Cocktail Club, where you'll sample high-quality whiskies made in Japan and learn all about the different ways Japan's distillers go from grain to ferment to glass. Here, Filipino food from the team's childhood is paired with seasonal beverages in an intimate setting that conjures feelings of family and memory. The WAC Way Giving Tree NOVEMBER 25–DECEMBER 20 Donate to Seattle youth in need this holiday season when you select an ornament from the Giving Tree in the WAC lobby. Each ornament represents an item that you can purchase and return to the WAC security team by December 20. These goods will go to young adults in transitional housing operated by the YMCA. The Cocktail Club at the Washington Athletic Club offers membership with a $100 initiation fee and $50 annual dues. Members enjoy early access to Cocktail Club events, preferred reservations, discounted rates, a complimentary birthday drink, free parking at events, as well as invitations to biannual happy hours at local distilleries.
