MEET Maria Finlayson,
YOUR 2024 –2025 WAC CHAIRMAN
M
aria Finlayson arrives in Torchy's,
coffee cup in one hand, sleek com-
muter's backpack in the other. It's late
in the workday, and she's come straight from a long
meeting across town. As she settles into an oversized
armchair, her unwavering gaze and assured presence
fill the space with a quiet intensity and sense of pur-
pose. "There's a lot to get done," Maria says. "People's
time is valuable, so I'm always trying to be efficient in
what I do."
Maria joined the WAC 14 years ago. During that
time, she's cultivated a close-knit community of friends,
served on countless committees, met her husband,
and grown as a leader. On August 1, she began her
term as 2024–2025 Chairman of the Board.
