SUMMER / FALL 2024 41 club programs events WAC Book Club SEPTEMBER 23 "Dreamers of the Day" from Mary Doria Russell tells the adventurous story of a middle-aged school teacher who uses her inheritance to travel to the Middle East in the year 1921. Monday; 5–6:30 pm; complimentary Cheeky & Dry SEPTEMBER 24 Wet your whistle with a visit to Cheeky & Dry. This Phinney Ridge bottle shop specializes in non-alcoholic beverages. Come along for an exploration of flavor and innovation with this class dedicated to crafting zero-proof libations.Tuesday; 6–8 pm; $45 member/$54 guest OCTOBER Coffee Connections OCTOBER 2 Start your day with a friendly chat and a cappuccino. Coffee Connections is an early morning networking event held in the lobby level "1930" cafe. Here, you can expand your professional network, get to know the Club community, and exchange ideas. All before heading off to the office! Come by to create meaningful connections in a casual atmosphere. 7:30–8:30 am; no-host coffee After School at the WAC OCTOBER 9–DECEMBER 11 On Wednesdays, the Club is your bridge between the end of school and dinner time. Our After School at the WAC program takes place in the 8th Floor Card Room, where Club Programs team members provide homework help, games, and craft time. Kids can also burn off all their afternoon energy with supervised play in the nearby Simulator and basketball court. This program is suited for elementary- aged and middle school students. Wednesdays through December 11; 3:30–5:30 pm; complimentary Cocktail Club OCTOBER 17 Cozy up with comforting cocktails fashioned to warm you from the inside out. October's Cocktail Club gathering will be centered around mixing drinks with bourbon, whiskey, and spiced rum. Thursday; $95 Cocktail Club members/$125 nonmembers 91st Father Son OCTOBER 18 Save the date for the 91st Father Son event on October 18! Curious about this year's theme? Dive into the WAC app for all the exciting details! Friday; $TBA Clay Crazy Friday OCTOBER 18 Get crafty and unleash your creativity at Wet Clay Café with WAC members and friends. Create Chess for Kids SEPTEMBER 24–OCTOBER 29 Sign your kids up for our popular six-week chess series. WAC member and chess champion Hayley LeGault will teach kids ages 6–15 the game. Hayley offers a fun, positive environment in which to learn. Tuesdays; 4–5 pm; $60 member/$72 guest for the series. Attending any of these Club events?
