Read this issue’s letters from the Chairwoman and President & CEO 6 WAC Magazine | wac.net A season of excitement Dare I say the holidays are coming? I couldn't be more excited! e holidays are a wonderful time to enjoy the best the WAC has to offer. I love ordering anksgiving dinner for pickup (see pages 18 and 22), followed by four days of football and turkey sandwiches. I also love the feeling of walking into the WAC and seeing the holiday decorations for the first time each year. e energy is always high, and the lobby is awash in the Yuletide spirit. All of this culminates in the over-the-top party that is Jubilee. On Friday, December 6, the WAC will turn into a wonderland like no other, with four floors of dancing, eating, gambling, and socializing. Tickets went on sale on October 1, and the party is sure to sell out quickly. Whether you attend Jubilee or not, you'll want to buy raffle tickets for this year's grand prize—a 2019 Tesla Model 3 RWD! Visit the Member Services desk in the WAC lobby to buy your chances to win. My family and I love the WAC and downtown Seattle so much during this time of year that we book a suite at the Inn at the WAC and enjoy a staycation at the Club. e kids dress up for dinner at Torchy's and a nighttime walk to see the city lights and decorations. Aerward, we order dessert from room service and snuggle up for a holiday movie. It's a tradition we look forward to every year. With all the excitement of the holidays, I also like to remember it's a time for giving. e WAC Foundation is up and running. (See pages 36–38 to learn more.) Our beautiful and historic Clubhouse has been standing for 90 years, and the future of the WAC depends on our strong membership and its generous benefactors. is season, I encourage you to think about your legacy and how the WAC can be part of it.
