For the sixth year in a row, the WAC will host a group of U.S. Navy sailors during
Seafair Fleet Week. WAC members are invited to mingle with active military
personnel at a reception on Wednesday, July 31, in the Johnson Lobby Lounge
and aerward host a sailor—or a small
group—for dinner at one of your favorite

Learn all about wine blending and try your hand at blending your own at a very spe-
cial class hosted by Rodney Strong Vineyards. A pioneer in sustainable farming and
green practices, Rodney Strong has bottled critically acclaimed single vineyard and
reserve wines, standout estate releases, and best-in-class varietals, focusing on grapes
from Northern California's Sonoma Valley. Rodney Strong Winemaking Emeritus
Rick Sayre will join us to lead this class.

Boeing Classic celebrates 15 years
e 15th annual Boeing Classic tees off at e Club at Snoqualmie Ridge this August
23–25, and WAC members can once again attend for free just by showing their WAC
membership card. e PGA Tour Champions event delivers three days of spectacu-
lar golf and scenery. Past champions include Bernhard Langer, Mark Calcavecchia,
and Tom Kite. e Boeing Classic is a WAC Community Partner and has raised
more than $8 million for local charities, including major beneficiary the Benaroya
Research Institute at Virginia Mason. A full week of events, including the Seahawks
Rumble at the Ridge, begins on Monday, August 19.
