20 WAC Magazine | wac.net Club Life A N I TA N O W A C K A Rick Roberts Vulcan Capital Analyst and Portfolio Manager Rick Roberts lives near Pioneer Square, just a brief walk from his office and the WAC Clubhouse. Rick's wife, Jill, a born-and-bred Seattle- ite, introduced him to the Pacific Northwest over 30 years ago. e couple visited Seattle regularly for years, and Rick recently relocated for business. Since becoming a member in 2018, he has enjoyed the social opportunities offered at the WAC. "Member mixers are great if you're a newcomer to the city," Rick says. "I don't know a lot of people here, but the WAC has helped me network and make friends." As a frequent business traveler, Rick also plans on tapping the Club's extensive recip- rocal club offerings. Victor Valenzuela Arizona native Victor Valenzuela came to the WAC in 2017 by way of his insurance underwriting start-up, Inszu. When childhood friend and fellow WAC member Matt Mosely found Victor a Seattle-based freelancer to help with his growing company, Victor started spending more time in the Emerald City. He eventually moved to Seattle part time and joined the WAC. He was impressed by the Men's Fitness offerings and the WAC's extensive reciprocal club network—a must for someone who oen travels for work. Victor now visits the WAC for early morning workouts and steam room sessions, as well as the oc- casional group fitness class. "It sets the tone of the day," he says.
