TORCHLIGHT RUN AND PARADE
Want to run through downtown Seattle without see-
ing a single car, motorcycle, bus, or bike? Well, you're
in luck. You will, however, be joined by thousands of
your closest friends at the Seafair Torchlight Run on
Saturday, July 27. With our great central location,
the WAC is the perfect pre- and post-race pit stop
for this classic Seattle run. The 5K and 8K courses
both begin and end at Seattle Center. Afterward,
cool down at the Alaska Airlines Torchlight Parade
that features floats, dance crews, and participants
from across Seattle's diverse cultural landscape.
The parade route uses Fourth Avenue, passing within
two blocks of the Clubhouse.
HOST A SAILOR
The WAC is happy to once again welcome a group
of U.S. Navy sailors during Seafair Fleet Week. Meet
these servicemen and servicewomen during a recep-
tion in the Johnson Lobby Lounge on Wednesday,
July 31. Then show them the town with dinner at your
