For the second consecutive year, the WAC is sup- porting ZGiRLS' fundraising gala, dedicated to helping the nonprofit organization reach its goal of supporting 1,000 girls in 2019. Founded by former Olympic and college athletes, ZGiRLS provides confidence-building and mentorship programs to girls through a focus on sports, life skills, and empowerment. is year's gala takes place at 5:30 pm on ursday, March 21, in the Crystal Ballroom. Volleyball greats Courtney ompson and Nicole Davis will emcee the event. omp- son, a native of western Washington, was part of the University of Washington's 2005 national championship team. She and Davis played together on the U.S. team that won Olympic silver in 2012. Davis won back-to-back college national championships, in 2002 and 2003, while playing for USC. Find out more starting on page 14. e WAC recently received the Club Management Association of America's International Wine Society Award of Distinction for the second straight year. e award is given to fewer than 20 clubs and reflects the WAC's expan- sive wine list, including vintages from around the world and a robust selection of Washington wines. All told, the WAC has more than a thousand vintages in its cellar. "We're honored to receive this award again," Vice President Food & Beverage Peter Christian says. "We take great pride in being a club where members know they can enjoy great wine and find new labels and hard-to-find vintages." Wondering how to entertain your kids this spring break? We have you covered. Our spring camps for junior members ages 6–12 offer the perfect solution for parents and kids. Each four- day camp takes place at the WAC Clubhouse and includes a morning of sports. ink Pickleball, flag football, basketball, racquetball, and more. Aerward, they'll cool off in Helene Madison Pool. Snack and lunch provided. Camps take place 9 am–3 pm on April 8–11 and April 22–25. Pricing: $250 for members and $300 for guests.
