In response to member demand, this year we're extending this traditional June special through July. Visit Torchy's and Hagerty's in June and July to try selections from the Northwest and around the globe. And don't miss two of our most popular seafood events—Crab Feast and Lobsterfest. Lobsterfest It's back! For the 12th year in a row, Lobsterfest returns to the Club in honor of Father's Day. This event brings a boatload of fresh lobster straight from Maine. Come to Torchy's and treat Dad this Father's Day weekend: Friday–Sunday, June 17–19; $48.95. Crab Feast Crack into this all-you-can-eat feast featuring Dungeness crab, chowder, and seasonal cuisine. Crab Feast takes place in Torchy's on Friday and Saturday, June 3–4; $32. Moscow Mule These days, you'll find copper mugs brimming with frosty cocktails everywhere. More often than not, the mixture inside is an ice-cold Moscow Mule. Invented in 1941 by John Martin of Heublein Spirits and Hollywood bar owner Jack Morgan, who made his own ginger beer, the Moscow Mule introduced Smirnoff vodka and ginger beer to the masses. The tradition of serving the drink in a copper mug came about as a marketing scheme. Using the recently invented Polaroid camera, Martin traveled around the country taking photos of bartenders holding a copper Moscow Mule mug and a bottle of Smirnoff vodka. Martin left one photo with the bartender and brought another to his next destination to show them what the competition was selling. Here at the WAC, we elevate this classic with Rachel's Ginger Beer and Tito's Handmade Vodka. Mix one up yourself or let us do the work in Torchy's or Hagerty's. Baseball specials Hagerty's is the place for all televised Mariners games this season. Enjoy a bratwurst, fries, and a frosty draft beer for $12 whenever the M's are on TV. Mother's Day Enjoy brunch in the Crystal Ballroom or come to Torchy's for a special meal with mom. Crystal buffet: seatings at 10 am and 12:30 pm; $39.95 adults, 13.95 children 6–11, free for 5 and under. Reserve with Catering at 206.464.3050 or catering@wac.net. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 8.
