In class, you will refine stroke technique, breath control, starts and turns, and endurance work. This class is a great precursor to joining the WAC Masters Swim Team, lap swimming or triathlon training. Wednesdays: 1:30–2:30 pm; May 2–30, June 20–July 25 (no class week of July 2) $60 five-week session 6th Floor Pool; Ages 18+ Registration: 206.464.3086 Water Aerobics Water aerobics is a proven low-impact, fat-burning workout. The water creates resistance, which increases strength and heart rate. The buoyancy reduces impact and stress to joints. It's an invigorating and refreshing form of exercise and a thorough and challenging workout. Tuesday/Thursday: 6:45–7:45 am $10 (free with Fitness Advantage) 6th Floor Pool Joints in Motion Ease joint and muscle pain. This class takes participants through gentle range- of-motion, joint-mobility and flexibility exercises. It is appropriate for those suffering from arthritis or muscle pain and stiffness or those recovering from an injury. Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10:30–11 am $4 (free with Fitness Advantage); 6th Floor Pool Intramural Age Group Swim Team This is an opportunity for swimmers consid- ering joining the swim team in the fall or who want to improve their endurance and technique. The intramural swim team begins June 25 and runs for eight weeks. At the end of the eight-week program, a swim meet will be held. Awards will be presented. Online registration begins June 11.
