WAC Link Quarterly Thursday, July 19 wac ™ WAC members agree that WAC Link is the place for person-to-person, business-to- business, interest-to-interest connections. This informal quarterly mixer is fast-paced and focused on linking you to a roomful of members and the WAC. It's easy, non- threatening and fun. Here's how it works: PreLink starts at 6 pm and gives everyone a chance to arrive, grab a beverage, enjoy appetizers and be ready for SpeedLink at 6:30. During SpeedLink, you'll meet 15 different people in three-minute link-ups to talk about whatever you want. Everyone gets the same starter question, and you take the conversation from there. After SpeedLink, there is an all-play group activ- ity before last call. Experience WAC Link Quarterly in a different venue each time. In July, drop in at Lower Torchy's and let the conversation begin. 6–8 pm; Lower Torchy's; no reservation necessary; members invited to bring guests. NOTE: To receive WAC Link updates and reminders, send an email to clubprograms@ wac.net and write "Link List" in the subject line. 50th Anniversary of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair Thursday, June 28 It all started 57 years ago over martinis at the WAC: a vision for a downtown improvement project that incorporated futuristic elements from the world of the Jetsons and brought to life the iconic Space Needle.
