2 | Washington Athletic Club Magazine | HOLIDAYS 2015 N o matter your age, this season of the year presents such a variety of ways to feel the joy. Be it family gatherings, a perfect gift given or received, or simply the strong prevalence of the positive spirit of the season, it seems much easier to focus on important aspects of life that we sometimes neglect. We hope you are taking advantage of the WAC's many offerings to make it all come together. Thank you for having the Washington Athletic Club as part of your life. The function of the WAC is to provide a place where positive energy exists year-round as well as to foster a community that brings your quality of life to new highs. On behalf of the 350 members of the WAC team, we appreciate the opportunity to serve you, and we wish you all good things this season and in the year to come. With appreciation and joy, I 'm looking forward to festive celebrations and time with family in the days ahead, but I also know that the weeks from Thanksgiving to New Year's can feel like a marathon of celebrations and eating. Over the years I've notched back my schedule during the holidays. Even with that approach, exercise has fallen by the wayside, leaving me with a January 1 resolution to shake off my holiday pounds. This year, I've committed to put exercise and rest first. I know the extra boost I get from working out will help me make it through the fun, but busy, weeks ahead. I'm going to need encouragement to stick to my routine, and you may, too. When I see you on the elevator, in the pool, or on the fitness floors, don't be alarmed if I say hi and ask how your workout is going. I invite you to do the same for me. Here's to healthy habits this holiday season! M aking pirits S Chuck Nelson, President & Chief Executive Officer Tammy Young, Chairman of the Board of Governors right B J O H N G R A N E N
