Nothing will come easy for the best golfers in the world when they descend on Chambers Bay, where rumpled greens, sand, and wind off the water rule the day. Get to know the course and find out how Chambers Bay secured one of golf's four major international tournaments during this exclusive and informative daytrip from the WAC. Upon arrival at Chambers Bay, take in sweeping views as you stroll the grounds and observe preparations for the Open. We'll enjoy a buffet lunch and hear the story of Chambers Bay from Blaine Newnham, renowned golf writer who for 23 years was an associate editor and sports columnist for e Seattle Times, and Larry Gilhuly, Northwest agronomist for the Western Region of the U.S Golf Association. Newnham chronicled Chambers Bay's birth, its comparisons with Scotland's St. Andrews, and its selection for the 2015 Open in the recently published book, America's St. Andrews. Gilhuly helps make sure the U.S. Open greens are up to desired USGA standards. Trip includes motor coach from the WAC, lunch, and a cocktail or glass of wine.
