7th Annual Scavenger Hunt on Lake Union Friday, July 25 Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, here comes our 7th Annual Scavenger Hunt on Lake Union. •is summer event has become a favorite group activity. Each year, the competition increases for the bragging rights of finishing first. Begin by selecting someone to be captain and pilot of your 10-person electric Duffy boat before heading out into heated (but friendly) competition afloat. As you race around Lake Union, your mis- sion is to work as a team to solve a list of crafty clues and puzzling riddles to deter- mine the identity of items visible from the lake. You have two hours to complete the task. •e first boat to return with the most correct answers wins a prize. Each year the scavenger hunt has a new mix of clues so everyone has a fair shot. Since you'll be burning up brain fuel as you solve the clues, plentiful platters of finger food, sweets, bottled water, and soft drinks are included onboard. You may also bring your own beer, wine and music to help spark your creative thinking. Put together a team of 10 friends and family, or we'll partner you at the dock when we meet on the west side of Lake Union. You guessed it: mini golf at the Rusty Putter at •e Golf Club at Newcastle. Teams of four will compete on the 18-hole, natural grass-putting course, complete with bunkers. You'll kick off the evening with appetizers and a beverage before playing to a beautiful sunset and breathtaking views of the Seattle skyline. Whether you have the talent of Tiger Woods, or model your skills after Happy Gilmore, this night on the links is just for you. Prizes will be awarded to the "Prized Putter," "Terrific Team," and "Best luck with one stroke." Bonus points will be awarded to those who wear their best golf outfit.
