36 WAC Magazine | wac.net E picurean eats, extraordinary entertainment, high-end prizes, casino gambling, and a few special surprises straight from the ski slopes are just some of the excitement planned for Jubilee 94, set for Friday, December 6. "We've even plucked the aurora borealis from the sky, and we're bringing it inside," party planner and Director of Club Events Mary Ellen Jilek says. "Let's just say the Crystal Casino is once again going to be a party highlight." Attendees can expect this year's après-ski theme to play out room by room, with artificial snowfall, a golden-yellow Veuve Clicquot takeover, and a ski-themed selfie station. "It's going to be unforgettable and luxurious," Mary Ellen says. And who would expect anything else from our annual black-tie gala, a Club tradition that dates to our 1930 grand opening and stands as Seattle's best party of the holiday season. Fabulous food, great entertainment, fancy dress, and flowing drinks are a given at Jubilee. And this year is no exception. Mary Ellen and team have pulled out all the stops to transform the first three floors of the Club into a winter wonderland unlike anything else this side of the snow line. Start the evening with a champagne welcome in the lobby, where twinkling lights and a sprinkling of snow tease all that is to come. Let the energy of the early evening whisk you away to Torchy's seafood bar, stocked with Dungeness crab; to Hagerty's, where karaoke reigns supreme; to "1930," where you can experience the peak of après-ski culture with the shot ski! continuEd on pagE 38 gEt party-rEady The Spa at the WAC and the WAC Barbershop are here for your pre-event glam and grooming.
