Equipped with Ajoy's aspiration and Manjula's moxie, Sean spent his youth as a competitive swimmer and trained with top coaches in the nationally renowned Federal Way scene. High-level athletics exposure taught Sean a lot, he says, and he oen calls on the discipline he honed while swimming in his entrepreneurial career as an adult. "I've found that swimming really is a one-to-one representation of life," he says. "Everything I learned while swimming helped prepare me for life's obstacles and to 'stay afloat' in the face of adversity, so to speak." Sean furthered his education at Harvard Extension School and Harvard Business School, where he deepened his understanding of financial markets and "refined his way of thinking," he says. From there, he took his newfound knowledge and inspiration to New York, where he worked in distressed credit and real estate private equity as co-founder of RedBrook Capital Partners. "I stumbled and had some of my own setbacks prior to starting RedBrook," Sean says. "e WAC and RedBrook were equal parts of the comeback story aer those initial failings." Sean's time in New York helped him recognize a niche in the industry that he could fill. Enter ORSNN, an elec- tronic trading platform founded by Sean that works with depositories and private equity funds.
