Did you know that there used to be a parking garage and a bowling alley inside? Join WAC engineer and 62-year Club legend Bill Rawe for a detailed tour of all the places you've wondered about. We'll travel from the Top of the WAC to deep in the sub-basement, discovering back staircases, a wine cellar, chiller room, kennels, and more! Oh, the stories Bill can tell! First established in 1899 as the Washington State Museum, the new Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture on the University of Washington campus recently re-opened with an innovative "inside- out" design. With working labs you can see into, one- of-a-kind objects all around you, and galleries filled with curiosity and conversation, it's a new kind of museum and a whole new way to experience our world! Take a self-guided tour to see some of the museum's 16 million artifacts, including dinosaur and winged bird exhibits, global culture, and information about the indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest.
