Member Services Manager Katherine Jensen recounts a member who called with praise for Theo, describing him as "a kind soul and a special person who has gone above and beyond for my family." Known for being friendly and welcoming, Theo is also very knowledgeable about the Club. "Theo is incredibly deserving of this recognition," Men's Fitness Manager Ben Stan- ton says. Theo says he is humbled by the award. "I found a place of stability at the WAC," he says. "I am so grateful for everyone who helps me be a better version of myself." SHAREENA FONTILLAS BARISTA If you've visited the Club Shop café recently, you probably know barista Shareena Fontillas. Always ready with a smile, Shareena joined the WAC team in 2017. Her exemplary customer service and friendly disposition keep members and hotel guests coming back for their daily pick-me-up. "Shareena has established herself as an integral part of the lobby experience and as an invaluable assistant," Club Shop Manager Mark Alexander says. Shareena says she enjoys her work and likes making coffee for people because it "makes their day a little better." FALL 2019 NOVEMBER 2019 TAMRA SHERWOOD AQUATICS & JUNIOR PROGRAMS MANAGER Tamra Sherwood is responsible for one of the most historic places in the WAC Clubhouse— Helene Madison Pool. Not only does she keep the pool in excellent condition, but she also has developed some wonderful new programs since starting her position in 2018. "The pool chem- istry, aquatics program, and safety standards implemented by Tamra are at a very high level," says Wayne Milner, Senior Vice President Athletics, Special Projects & Community Partners. "She also continues to try new and creative programs for junior members." An outstanding leader, Tamra possesses a passion for aquatics. She enjoys the people she works with and says that she strives "to create the best programming and find balance for all WAC swimmers." OCTOBER 2019
