Then, visit the Lewis Army Museum at Fort Lewis, the only certified U.S. Army Museum on the West Coast. Our docent will tour us through 10,000 square feet of dioramas, interactive features, and collections of uniforms and equipment. Includes motorcoach, lunch and tour. X Thursday; 9:30 am–3:30 pm; $62; noncancelable 09 Modern Manners for Modern Kids N Leslie Brown of Clise Etiquette uses her experience as an etiquette consultant to teach young WAC members the importance of everyday etiquette. Class 1 for ages 4–5 will focus on please and thank you, excuse me, handshakes, table manners, and napkin rules. Class 2 for ages 6–10 will explore the traditional ways to set a table, handle silverware, eat difficult foods, interact at a meal, and shake hands. Includes class, a three- course lunch, and printed material for review at home. We provide a pre-constructed gingerbread house, candy, a pastry bag full of icing, and a box for transport. Members may reserve up to four houses per member account. Our own WAC florist, Judi Tsuchida from Fena Flowers, brings her expert design skills and guided instruction for making your very own wreath. Kick off the holiday season at this fun and spirited event. Light appetizers and one hosted beverage included. X Wednesday; 6–8 pm; $105; cancel by November 11 26 Seattle International Comedy Competition The Crystal Ballroom transforms into the WAC's very own comedy club for night one of finals week of the Seattle International Comedy Competition. The top five comedians battle for the night's best score, top honors, and a shot at cash and prizes. You can join for just the show or arrive an hour early to enjoy a buffet dinner of Mexican food. Includes comedy show, dinner and dessert buffet, and validated parking in the WAC Garage. X Tuesday; 6 pm buffet, 7–9 pm show; $72 per person, $44 per person (without buf- fet); cancel by November 18 NOVEMBER 18, 25 & DECEMBER 2 Jubilee Casino Dealer Training Be part of the WAC's 90th Ju- bilee anniversary celebration by volunteering in the Crystal Casino. Hone your skills or learn how to deal blackjack, craps, or roulette with three train- ing sessions. You can also volunteer as a card shuffler or runner. New dealers must attend all sessions. All volunteers will work a two-hour shift on Jubilee night; the rest of the evening is for you to enjoy the party! Please note, dealers must reserve their Jubilee tickets at wac.net/jubilee90. If so, we have just the event for you—a two-part craft class for kids ages 6–10! They'll create useful and awesome gifts that look great just in time for the holiday season. In both sessions, participants will make four to five nice presents and bring them home in homemade wrapping paper. Tiffany Jay of Squirrely Workshop will lead the way in creating framed artwork, handmade cards and envelopes, hand-dyed silk scarves, and seasonal ornaments. Classes limited to 12 participants.
