NOVEMBER / DECEMBER 2019 7 Celebrating our past and future is is a fun issue of WAC Magazine. We get to focus our two main features on two different things that are all about the Club's past, present and future. We get to celebrate, with full force, the WAC's founding in December 1930 and the onset of our 90th year serving the Seattle community. We also get to launch a wonderful method of ensuring that the Club's storied past and present can progress forward and continue to provide the high-quality WAC experience to our members and guests for decades to come. Jubilee 90 reprises and yet creates anew the WAC's biggest annual blowout. Picture yourself and 899 of your best friends having the run of the Clubhouse and having fun in so many ways. Our annual gala—this year set for Friday, December 6—is for members and guests alike, so invite your pals to see what we do here! Get the full details starting on page 40. Oh yes, and it could also be your night to win a 2019 Tesla! e Jubilee grand prize will be on display in the WAC lobby all November. See page 9 for details on how to win. We are also very excited about the formation of the WAC Foundation, featured on pages 36–38. e foundation is purposed to raising tax-deductible dollars to help the WAC today and going forward—to highlight, preserve and enhance this national historic landmark Clubhouse. With the foundation we can augment existing capital dollars, be strong stewards of the Club's history, and serve the membership of the future with a Clubhouse that continues to stand as a testament to Seattle's history. rough the WAC Foundation you can be a part of the WAC's past, present and future!
