Besides the usual options, some springtime pieces could include eggs, chicks and flowers. After cooling in the annealer a few days, your objets d'art will be available for pick-up at the WAC. Event includes dinner buffet and beverages. The relaxed setup allows you to eat and mingle while watching others take turns blowing their one- of-a-kind glass treasures. Class size limited to 12. We'll charter a bus from the WAC and travel north along Chuckanut Drive to Taylor Shellfish Farm's Samish Bay Market. The Taylor family still runs the business, established in 1890, and will host a special day of shuckin' and chuckin'. Explore the beach during low tide and learn how to shuck oysters and then slurp them down. Enjoy an April afternoon alongside a cozy bonfire with lots of oysters, hot stew, and plenty of wine and beer. We'll go rain or shine, so be sure to bring warm clothes and boots.
